Fluorosilicone Compound Properties

Fluorosilicone compound combines the characteristics of silicone rubber and fluororubber:
1. Wide application range (-60~200℃);
2. Possess solvent resistance and oil resistance similar to fluororubber;
3. Retain the advantages of high tensile retention rate of silicone rubber at high temperature;
4. Good insulation performance;
5. Low air permeability, in line with environmental protection requirements.

Therefore, it is used for sealing of high and low temperature resistance, oil resistance and medium resistance.
Compared with methyl vinyl silicone rubber, fluorosilicone rubber has the biggest advantages of oil resistance, solvent resistance, and chemical resistance; compared with fluororubber, although there is little difference in resistance to alkane solvents, it is resistant to aromatic hydrocarbons. The solvent property is better than that of fluorine rubber. Its good solvents are only ketones with large polarity and small molecules, and its oil resistance and solvent resistance are also good. After immersion in the same medium, time and temperature, they all show excellent durability of gas. Fluorosilicone rubber has better heat resistance, cold resistance, and compression set, and its physical properties are less dependent on temperature, showing excellent performance from low temperature to high temperature. Secondly, products with low hardness can be produced even without the use of plasticizers. Therefore, fluorosilicone rubber is being widely used as a new high-performance elastomer material.
